A suite of professional support
EARLY YEARS ASSESSMENT AND LEARNING TOOL (EYALT) VIRTUAL PROFESSIONAL LEARNING
The Victorian Department of Education have collaborated with Semann & Slattery to offer a suite of professional supports to funded kindergarten providers who are registered to use the EYALT.
These professional learning programs support educators and teachers to understand and support assessment in an early childhood context, and the role of the EYALT in this process.

EYALT introductory sessions
This EYALT Introductory session is targeted at educators and teachers. The purpose of this professional learning program is to support educators and teachers to engage in learning related to the EYALT and develop a greater understanding of the EYALT and how it supports assessment of children’s learning and development.

EYALT and transition learning and development statements
This online professional learning session is targeted at educators and teachers. The purpose of this session is to support educators and teachers to deepen their understanding of the Early Years Assessment and Learning Tool (EYALT) and its connection to Transition Learning and Development Statements.
The session will explore how the EYALT supports meaningful assessment of children’s learning and development over time, and how this assessment can be translated into clear, thoughtful and purposeful Transition Statements that support continuity of learning.
